Three tasks, and a reason for each one
The hard part of a 40-item list is choosing, not doing. nflo sends your active tasks to Claude and gets back the three worth starting now, each with a one-line reason you can accept or ignore.
Only titles, priorities, due dates, points and recurrence get sent. Client names, notes and documents stay in your account.
One list for everything, sorted the way you need it
Every task across every client in a single view. Search it, filter by client, project, status or priority, and sort by name, client, project, due date or priority. Completed work is hidden until you ask for it.
Status, priority, due date and points are all editable in the row itself, so you never lose your place in the list.
Every project sits under the client it belongs to
Clients are the top level, and projects live underneath with their tasks one click away. Completed and archived projects stay out of your way until you filter for them.
Recurring tasks roll over instead of quietly closing themselves. An overdue weekly job stays where you can see it until you actually do it.
Billable hours, ready for the invoice
Start a timer against a client in one click, or log the block you forgot to track this morning. Entries group by day so a week is easy to eyeball.
When it's invoicing time, filter the report by date range and client, check the per-client totals, and export CSV.
Progress you can see, without the guilt trip
A streak for consecutive days with something finished, a count of what you closed today, and a point total for the month. That's the whole system.
There are no XP levels, badges or leaderboards. A bad week breaks the streak and you start it again, which is rather the point.
Notes that live next to the work
A markdown editor with folders for briefs, running notes and templates. Type / for formatting and it saves as you go.
Documents are stored as plain markdown files, so nothing you write is trapped in a proprietary format.

What is nflo?
nflo is a single-user work management app for solo contractors and freelancers. Projects and tasks, time tracking per client, a markdown document library and light gamification, all on one dashboard. It's designed around neurodivergent working styles, so it does the choosing for you and keeps your progress where you can see it.
How much does it cost?
It's free while nflo is in beta. No credit card and no trial countdown. If paid plans are introduced later you'll be told well before it happens, and nothing you've made gets locked away. Time reports export to CSV and documents are stored as plain markdown files.
Who is it for?
Solo contractors, freelancers and consultants juggling more than one client. It suits anyone with ADHD or autism who finds team tools like Monday, Jira or Notion loud and heavy. nflo is deliberately single-user, so there are no seats, assignees or approvals to think about.
How do I sign in?
Three ways, whichever suits: a Google account, a GitHub account, or a one-time sign-in link sent to your email address. There's no password to invent in any of them, which is why it takes about a minute to get going. If you sign in with Google one day and GitHub the next, you land in the same account as long as the email addresses match.
How does the AI prioritisation work, and what does it see?
When you open the dashboard, nflo sends your active task titles, priorities, due dates, point values and recurrence flags to Anthropic's Claude API. It returns the three tasks worth doing now with a one-line reason for each. Client names, task notes, time entries and documents aren't included. Suggestions are cached for the session, so the list doesn't reshuffle every time you glance at it.
Can I track billable time per client?
Yes. Every entry is attached to a client. Run a live timer or add entries by hand, then filter the report by date range and client and export CSV for invoicing. nflo doesn't generate the invoices themselves.
What happens to a recurring task I miss?
It rolls over and stays visible. nflo never auto-closes or hides an overdue recurring task. It waits until you complete it, then resets for the next period.
Does it work on a phone or tablet?
Yes. nflo is responsive and installable as a progressive web app on iOS, iPadOS, Android, macOS and Windows, so it runs in its own window from your home screen or dock.
Where is my data stored?
On Cloudflare. D1 holds projects, tasks and time entries, and R2 holds document files. nflo is operated by The Bearded Developer Ltd, a UK company, under UK GDPR. Read the privacy policy or email [email protected].
Can I use it with a team?
Not today. nflo is built for one person working across several clients, and everything is scoped to your own account.

Why this exists
I'm James, a contractor in the UK. I built nflo because I was paying for Monday and Notion, still opening a spreadsheet to work out what to do next, and still forgetting to start the timer.
It's built for one person because that's who I built it for. It's free while it's in beta because it isn't finished. I'd rather have people using it and telling me what's wrong than charge for something I'm still working out.
